“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
“Poem for Marta”
My personal trainer’s name is Marta.
She’s so buff she’s like a Greek goddess from Sparta.
Don’t be deceived by her blonde hair and eyes so blue.
She is tough and will work you.
She eats her protein bar like someone’s head.
Sometimes, I think she wants me dead.
Squats and weights cause arm and leg stings.
These are a few of her favorite things.
She is Polish and strong, but not just in strength.
She is this Lithuanian’s friend at arm’s length.
Triceps, biceps, and forearms oh my….
She’ll add ten pounds to my dead lift on each side.
Just when I think I pulled my muscle,
Marta directs me to the back of Crunch in a hustle.
She works me from machine to machine.
She is caring even though she looks mean.
Just when I think it’s time to die,
Marta works my outer and inner thigh.
There’s no end to good health in my brain.
I knew Marta was the one who would help me train.
She knows each week what body part she wants to recreate.
If she can get me to do it properly, that would be great.
II think she gets sick just to get a break from me.
I will come back, you will see.
Sometimes people cross each other’s path just for a season.
It is because God has a reason.
Think of everything you want in life, and then write it in ink so blue.
Pray over it with all your heart, and in time it will all come true.
In life we don’t get what we need because we haven’t prayed for it.
Knowing nothing is impossible with God,
Pray for a whole lotta sh*t!
Dear God,
“But the King of Assyria will not understand that he is my tool. His mind doesn’t work that way.” Isiah 10:7
“Oh, how I wish I can take away your BPD”
For when it comes out it is scary.
BPD is like a sleeping bear,
When poked, it will bring you fear.
The screaming outbursts make my insides shake.
It lasts longer than any mom can take.
For Amber, your emotions are felt stronger than most.
Do not let BPD be your brains host.
Triggers can be hard to predict.
Self-treatment has made you an addict.
As if BPD and addiction was not enough,
your addisons disease and bi-polar have made my life extremely tough.
Laughter, joy, and peace slowly drift away.
Fear and anxiety have come out to play.
Through prayer and reflection I remember, “God’s plans is to prosper!”
Mental illness- you’re just a monster.
As God used King Assyria as his tool to execute his plan,
God uses the “broken” in ways hard to understand.
You see God sent shepard David to defeat Goliath, and loud were the Philistines laugh and cries.
Then David shot Goliath between the eyes.
You see a person’s strength is not in their size.
God’s plan is in disguise.
So keep faith, hope, and love always at the top.
Because traits of BPD and bi-polar will never stop.
So Amber, while mental illness is your giant,
Remember, God’s unfailing love is always reliant.
SEEK GOD AND HE SHALL BE FOUND!
